We take the 'um' out of public speaking
Today, more than ever, the ability to speak in public, lead a meeting and teamwork are critical skills for work, family and community.
In 1924, Toastmasters International was organized in the basement of the Santa Ana YMCA to help people learn these skills.
Today, Toastmasters has grown to be the world's largest, non-profit educational organization dedicated to making effective communication and leadership a world-wide reality.
Our club, Daybreak Santa Clarita, is one of 12,500 clubs in more than 110 countries made up of local folks, just like you, who want a friendly and supportive place to learn and practice these vital skills.
You may be experienced or you may be a beginner. No problem. Everyone over the age of 18 is welcome to be a part of our practical, face-to-face learning program.
Whether you're speaking to the board of directors, your customers, your co-workers or your kids, Toastmasters can help you do it better.
We hold regular local meetings, have training seminars and hold speech contests throughout the year. All of this for less than $100 a year.
At Toastmasters, our members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. Our Toastmasters Daybreak Club has more than 20 wonderful people who meet twice monthly for about an hour. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation.
Daybreak Santa Clarita Toastmasters meets on the second and fourth Thursday of every month in the Santa Clarita City Hall, Council Chambers. Ample free parking is available at 23920 Valencia Blvd, Santa Clarita, CA 91355.
You are always welcome to visit our meetings without calling ahead and without obligation. We look forward to meeting you and helping you grow.
